We called him Bubba. Nicest guy you would ever want to meet. He loved working with his camera and he was good at it. Gomez was into cars at an early age like the rest of us. He would hang with his cousin Teddy, who had a fairly new Dodge Charger. We would all go to the track together frequently and tear our cars up so we could fix them back up. It was so sad that Gomez had to die in a car accedent in Los Angeles the summer after we graduated. A life lost so young as a back seat passenger, snugly fastened in his seat belt..

I too remember Gomez. My memory is his sister was a good friend of my sister, Elizabeth and when she came over to visit because they lived nearby, he would tag along with her. I remember the year he died and the sadness his sister felt, some of which transferred to my sister and our entire family. I remember coming home from college and being told of his death. It was a very dark time.

When I read Lavert  first posted I was so elated and fond memories arose. Gomez and I had a short lived close relateionship but it was of joy. I was also shocked and stunned by his passing. I am so happy we havent

forgotten him. Gone to soon.
